The Haunted Club

 Investigation #1

History

                        This is a club that originated in 1922 by the Germans.  They ran the establishment privately, which meant that anyone did not speak German was not permitted to enter the club.  The rule lasted through the 1960's, today the club is still privately owned, but you do not have to speak the language to enter.  Now, the president of the club facilitates it, they have continued the tradition of having one president through the decades. 

The current woman who coordinates the facility has said to see paranormal activity going up and down the stairway, leading to her upstairs apartment.  Another strange occurrence is the feeling of being watched in the secluded bowling alley, and the room for the tap system.

            Kyle (Investigator) and his father did a walk through and noted voices on the IC recorder, and Kyle was mysteriously touched in the shoulder.  A second, even stranger occurrence was when Kyle had the IC recorder propelled from his hand, but no one was around. At the time, there were only his father and he in the room.  The evidence from the IC recorder detected a young girl talking and two older voices telling her to be quiet.

The Investigation

            The Pennsylvania Ghost & Paranormal Research Team investigators arrived to the club to see if they could get any evidence of paranormal activity.  Rachael, Kyle, and myself showed up at 11:30pm to look around and set up our equipment.  The building was still being used for business, so we waited till everyone left to set up the cameras. 

            I walked around all the rooms to see where I was going to put up our three infrared cameras.  Camera 1 went next to the bar, facing the dance floor.  Camera 2 went in the bowling area facing down the two lanes.  Camera 3 was put next to the doorway in to the club facing the bar.

We separated into two groups to do the investigation.  Rachael and I started in the bowling area and Kyle and his friend Chad (above picture) started on the dance floor and stairway.  I opened the door into the bowling area and sat a digital voice recorder down on one of the tables.  Rachael sat down at the table and watched me as I made my way up the two lanes.  I started asking questions about the club to see if I would get a response.  As I made my way back the lane, I felt like someone was right behind me.  I turned around and noticed that there wasn’t anyone there.  I continued to walk back when I heard a footstep.  Rachael called out to me to see if I or something else made the noise.  I told her that the boards were making noises but they didn’t make that one.  The footstep came from beside me where I wasn’t walking.  I kept on asking questions and moved all around the area, but I didn’t hear the noise again so I walked back to leave the room.

            Rachael and I switched to different teams to go and look at two rooms that Kyle and his friend said that there were EMF spikes in.  Kyle and I walked back into the kitchen to start.  Rachael and Chad went to the basement to see if there was any activity down there.

            As Kyle and I were in the kitchen, Kyle started asking if there was anyone in there with us.  I used my EMF detector to see if there were any high fields in the area.  Since it was a kitchen, the EMF was spiking a lot and I notice that there were too many electrical opponents to keep it on.  So we moved to the back room to check where Kyle had his IC recorder hit out of his hand by the paranormal.  We moved slowly back the hallway and Kyle started asking questions in German.  After a few questions we heard something move behind us.  He asked me if I heard it and I told him that I did.  There was a really bad feeling in that room at that time, so we walked back to the bar to see what Rachael and Chad found.  Kyle and I saw them come out of the basement and we asked if there was anything down there.  They told us that nothing happened at all.

            After talking for a while, I decided to go back to the bowling alley.  Rachael was having a bad feeling about the area, so I asked Chad if he’d go with me.  Kyle stayed back with Rachael and Chad and I went to the bowling alley.  We walked back the lanes and I started to ask if there was anyone in there with us.  Chad stopped suddenly and told me that he felt a cold chill.  I stopped and looked at him and started taking pictures.  He knew there was something around when the hairs on his leg started to rise.  It was 70 degrees in the bowling alley and no leaks in the windows.  Since there were reports of a girl in the bowling area I began to ask questions.  I put my hand out and asked her to come to me and hold my hand.  Chad told me that the cold chill left, so I waited to see if she would come to me.  I waited a few minutes and nothing happened.  I was going to start moving again when I felt a chill by my arm.  It felt like a little breeze that would just go by.  This breeze didn’t leave; it stayed on my right side and stopped.  The hairs on my right leg started to rise after a couple seconds.  I asked if this was she beside me.  The breeze moved slowly away from me.

            Rachael and Kyle waited out by the bar, watching us on the monitor.  Chad and I came out and we all decided to take a break for a few minutes.  When we began the investigation again I decided to go back to the bowling alley for another look.  This time Kyle and Chad both came with me.  I took my temperature gun to see if the room’s temperature drops while were in there.  We put the recorders through out the room so we could get any sign of voices.  I ran a quick scan of the room and it was 70 degrees.  Chad and Kyle started asking questions while I walked slowly behind them.  The room showed that there were no leaks of air from the windows.  That would make our readings easier to prove.  Again Chad felt a chill down on his one side of his body.  I quickly took a reading so I wouldn’t miss it.  The temperature of the area dropped a few degrees, but I wasn’t sure if the drop was good enough to say it was paranormal or not.  I walked around the room and saw that the temperature dropped at least three degrees in the room since we’ve been here.  After a short period of time we decided to call it a night and pack up.

Conclusion

           I ran through all the EVP's and video and found only one EVP that sounded like a voice of a spirit.  Kyle caught a very bright orb near the dance floor.  We went back through all the pictures and noticed that there was nothing in the area that could reflect the light.  Check back for the next Investigation, that we’re going to be doing shortly.
