Day 1
Gettysburg is full of
history that includes tribute, death, and sorrow. For a normal ghost
hunter, this town is a dream comes true, but for a medium, it can turn
into a nightmare. I am going to take you on a journey that I
experienced in Gettysburg, for four long days. I am going to tell you
about Gettysburg through the eyes of a “sensitive”.
Walking around the
battlefield I experienced the five basic senses that anyone would feel,
but I take paranormal senses the same way. I will begin my story about
Little Round Top.
I walked up the rocks and
suddenly the environment went from a clear sunny day to hot, humid, and
the clearings covered in smoke. I looked down at the grass and saw
endless fields of blood staining the surroundings. The smoke was thick
and hurt my nose breathing it in. The stench of death surrounded the
entire area. I became overwhelmed with sounds of dying soldiers
screaming out for help. Standing by the rocks watching gun and cannon
fire fly through the air. Hearing the sounds of bullets smacking of
fresh bodies, the splat and thud of the metal hitting bone and the blood
cloud that emerged from them. Watching soldiers cower in fear and pray
to god that they were going to be okay. Feeling sensations of
adrenaline and fear wrapped up into one. Having the urges to run away,
but yet fight the soldiers on the other side who were determined to kill
me. Knowing in my mind that was either my death or sacrifice for the
country or kill my opponents. Then suddenly a bullet hit me, grazing my
arm. Then another one in the chest. The first bullet that grazed my
arm felt like a bee sting, the blood warm, slowly dripping down my arm.
Then the second bullet in the chest, burned and an overwhelming sense of
pressure took over. I could feel the oxygen leaving my body because of
the foreign object that was lodged in my lungs. Then every sound went
mute, and a strong light began to blind me. Everything stopped and the
vision cleared away. The fields returned and the smoke lifted. I saw
the tourist roaming the fields once again. I decided that it wasn’t
enough for me, so I ventured on across the field into the wood line. I
walked through the woods and enjoyed the smell of nature and the
serenity that came with it. Then I noticed a person in a grey coat in
front of me. He was a younger gentleman, looked as normal as us, but
dressed in solid uniform. He looked at me with an immense fear,
terrified of life. He was breathing heavily, but he managed to say to
me, “Please come with me, I can help you.” I followed him, he faded in
and out, and our surroundings did not change. He turned a corner and
disappeared. Then I noticed a hiding place in a small beaver type dam.
Day 2
On top of little round top
I watched the blood stained rocks, fresh blood trickling down the
rocks. I watched the tourist walk by and then everything changed. The
fields became smoke covered again, the grass stained with blood. I had
a difficult time maintaining reality; I bounced back and forth from our
world to theirs. Then the voices became drowning. 100’s of soldiers
screaming in agony, so many emotions took over my body at once. I felt
like I was experiencing a nervous breakdown. I was afraid, rushed with
adrenaline, depressed, angry, resentful, happy, all at the same time.
My body began to shake and I announced to our team that I needed to go.
Then I became suffocated with heat, a uniform was wrapped around my
body. The next thing I hear is a loud bang off my head. I assume that
I was hit in the head with a bullet, but I was wearing a helmet. The
ringing took several minutes to leave my brain. We left the area, got
in the car and began driving down a random road. Suddenly I had a
feeling of a strap being placed in my mouth. I bit down and could taste
liquor and leather. Then I felt my left leg being torn into with a
sharp jagged object. The pain was excruciating, then numbing. Suddenly
my leg was gone. I felt nothing below my left hip; I couldn’t feel any
sensations at all. I asked where we were and our historian told me that
a hospital was beside us.
Day 3
I decided to take a break
from the spirit world, but I was wrong. Spangler springs caught me off
guard, hard. We walked into the field and the current green grass
transformed into a small camp fire. I watched old settlers and soldiers
pacing the grounds, laughing and feeling safe. Then I watched the
ambush occur. The other side, the soldiers had a crazed look in their
eyes, so hungry and famine, desperate for any type of food or water.
Their faces were sunken in and starved. They looked like wild animals
to me. I shut my eyes and tried to make our perception re-appear, but I
had no such luck. All I could feel was my stomach twisting in knots and
every muscle in my body twist and spasm. Then the imagery disappeared.
Day 4
The final day, I was so
mentally exhausted I could no longer maintain any type of control over
our world. The visions came in clear and the senses were strong. I had
the overwhelming sense to fight and run at the same time. I wanted to
lie in the fields and help the fallen soldiers. I could not maintain
any control over my emotions or my visions.
